DNA Program - Prokids




This new system is to establish the genetic fingerprints of children under declared no family, from saliva or blood samples and parallel genetic create a file that will be compared with DNA from parents who have declared the disappearance of their children. This gene identification program, "DNA-Prokids" developed by the University of Granada in Spain (south), will establish a database to help combat international trafficking in children. This program has already been adopted by several countries including the United States and in 2009, allowed the identification of 230 children from 12 different nationalities of trafficking victims. The objective of this program is, first, to accelerate the procedures for adoption, and second, strengthening programs for the welfare of children in order to prevent the development traffic.
