Children need parents not to grow up healthy

A study published in the Journal of Marriage and Family refutes the belief that fatherless children are disadvantaged or that men provide a set of care than those of mothers. Sociological research often does not really address the issue of whether children need a father and a mother at home. What they do is compare families with father, mother and single parent families. Obviously, the former have an advantage over these second by the number of parents, but in reality it is often necessary to analyze whether this advantage also of their sex. In the families of two lesbian mothers tested, it was found that they tend more to play with their children and are less likely to use physical discipline that families of parents of both sexes. However, also in families of two mothers, as happens in the homes of heterosexual parents, the arrival of children is an increase of stress and conflict, a situation that increases in the first case the lack of recognition legal family status. The science shows that children raised by same-sex parents develop just as well as children growing up with parents of different sexes.
